    I'm happy with what the F.O. did at the deadline. At least we have a chance, which is more than most people thought we'd have.

    Good pitching and awesome defense got the win for us today. I know a lot of people are upset with ownership and refuse to support the team, but this team is fun to watch. These guys have no control over who owns the team or what the payroll is. They're just playing hard and trying their best, so I choose to pull for them and watch every game. Can't wait to see them in Chicago next weekend..............Win Twins!

    That obstruction call was total b.s. It took away a really good defensive play. I think the Twins got robbed tonight.

    So satisfying beating Cleveland in a game like this. Way to go Twins!

    Two times in this game we had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and failed to score. That's completely unacceptable.

    I was really pulling for Outman to get a hit today, but it didn't happen. Tough way to start a season. But to his credit, he made a fantastic catch on a ball down the line in the final Detroit game.

    So far in spring training, he's out hitting Royce Lewis.

    I'm giving him a chance. I have to. I've been a Twins fan for nearly 60 years and I'm always optimistic when the season starts. It's not about who owns the team, or what the payroll is. It's supporting and cheering for the players we have....Win Twins!

    Shannon Stewart had so many big hits for us. That was a great trade.

    Sad day when Kirby announced his retirement. His final at bat was both horrible and sad. Intentional or not, I couldn't stand Dennis Martinez after that day.

    I always enjoy these Twins Almanacs. I actually remember feeling a bit offended that Sports Illustrated called us the terrible Twins. We weren't very good, but that hurt seeing it on the front cover!

    What a game from Rod Carew on his special day!

    I remember how glad I was that Carl Pohlad had purchased the Twins. And then to win 2 world series just a few years later. Those were truly the good old days!
