    The Twins gave him millions and got almost nothing in return....I hope he has the worst start of his career tonight.

    I agree. On the slow chopper he hit to 3rd, it looked like he was not running at full speed. I thought he may be able to beat the throw, but the throw beat him easily.

    Just thinking about Herb brings back many great memories. I grew up listening to him, so he played a part in me becoming a life long Twins fan.

    If my memory is correct, I believe Jason hit the first home run at Target Field.

    I remember that he had an immediate positive impact when he came to the Twins. He had so many big hits, and some good defense too. I just thought he was fantastic in his time as a Twin.

    I actually remember watching this game on TV. It was a soul crushing loss.

    These guys used the Twins to get what they wanted from Chicago, and it seems to have worked....I thought it was most likely too good to be true.

    Being a fan of a team that claims it needs to "right size" the budget is no fun. Falvey may as well pack his bags and take a long vacation during the off season.

    I think small ball makes for a more exciting game than waiting for a home run. I'm an old timer, and I miss the bunt and trying to move runners. More bunting please!

    Those were some great times. I was in my late 20's during those World Series years and as a fan,those 2 titles are my greatest memories of all. That Metrodome could really get rockin!

    Because the Pohlads are strapped for money and are unable to add to the team when the window is open, I'd like to suggest they sell the team. Please,please sell the team. Your financial worries will be over and you can be happy!

    Harper was a good player, and a big part of our W.S. in 1991. He could really hit and he was tough as nails.

    Love the bunt by Martin in the 9th. I was shocked Rocco had him do it.

    Using a first round pick on Cavaco was such a surprise at the time. I think our F.O. was trying to show that they were smarter than all the experts.

    This was the right move. But based on past history, I don't expect Lewis to last long.... I really hope I'm wrong.

    I've always thought Dick was a class act. Nothing but good health and big fish in his retirement.

    Those are both nice signatures, but I have to go with Harmon. One of the best in all of baseball. And like you I'm a big fan of the Kaat card. I'm guessing Jim would say it's one of his personal favorites, because he took great pride in his batting.

    For the first time in 8 or 9 years the Royals are spending some serious money. I don't think that's a reason for the Twins, or any other team, to feel "embarrassed".
