  1. Schoop doing his part to make this a short start for Kikuchi.
  2. Keep it going guys ... Wear out Kikuchi! The Twins aren't the only team capable of bullpen meltdown.
  3. This would be a clubhouse disaster.
  4. So Lewis will be #2 after a month or so ... Tatis will lose status
  5. And only Yankees get front page MLB articles when they homer in rehab games: https://www.mlb.com/news/giancarlo-stanton-homers-in-consecutive-rehab-games F$%#$%rs
  6. To each his own on this one .... MLB should be sure to educate the players, because there can obviously be consequences. We're all going to die. I wouldn't choose salivary gland cancer as my way out, but that's just me. I don't like people telling me what to do, so I wouldn't support legislation. However, if a team or league wants to ban smokeless tobacco, I think it's within reason for them to do that. Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head saying you have to play for this team or league.
  7. While I do think the bullpen needs to be addressed, I'm not in the camp that thinks they need to do whatever it takes to make something happen right away. A 10.5 game lead gives you some flexibility to explore all angles and not rush and over pay for help. As mentioned above, Jake Reed might be an option. I think Cody Stashak might be an option. Zack Littell should be given another chance, and this time in a short role. I don't think any of those guys is going to save the bullpen, but they could give a temporary boost and bridge the gap to after the All-Star break. The Mariners needed a journeyman soft-tossing lefty to be almost perfect for awhile and then five uncharacteristic Twins errors to win that game yesterday. Also, go look at Will Smith's career 1st Half/2nd Half splits. I'm not sure he's the guy to call about and do whatever it takes to acquire.
  8. An extra kid gets to run out on the field tonight when they change bases, as the crew will also be lint rolling left field.
  9. I don't know what was worse: Watching Perez get dinked, dunked and then jacked, or listening to those three booth monkeys ramble about their stupid fantasy league.
  10. Aaron Judge? Really? god, I hate the Yankees and their fans
  11. ... and if he doesn't get those calls, he needs to make the in-game adjustment that Laudner calls for and use that cutter as a show pitch ... He still has the 96 mph four-seamer and a pretty good looking change to get guys out .... Perez has all kinds of stuff this year, but usage has been off against the Rays and Indians.
  12. Part of the reason the Twins are doing so well is the cohesiveness as a team. The last thing they need is some short fuse like Stroman.
  13. Please keep Stromanitis/Stromakemia out of the Twins clubhouse
  14. At least we know that Target Field won't be a slough ... Drainage!!! I'm guessing double-header Wednesday though.
  15. Well, that's just freakin' great, because now those odds favor the White Sox ...
  16. Damn, only cash considerations .... I was hoping to get Chicago involved on a three-way deal that would somehow also get Brian Duensing moved from Iowa to the Reds and the Twins end up with Amir Garrett!
  17. Add Lewis, Kirilloff and Graterol - especially if a name like Syndergaard starts getting tossed around
  18. Wow, it looks like negotiations have been real tough so far ...
  19. The cat lady down the street is wringing her hands, Burnsian-style, thinking of all those deductions.
  20. $17 million a year should take care of that.
  21. Hahaha ... You can't make this stuff up .... NBA possibly moving away from the word owner The owners own the franchise. Not the players. You would have to be a complete idiot to not see the difference. I anoint thee, Draymond the Delicate
  22. .732 is the lowest OPS on the active team and one of only 3 sub-.800 OPS .... That's impressive!
