    I have lived in 10 metro areas. I have never seen less assertive writers than I have seen here. Needn't be rude but for heaven's sake, who has asked one hard question of bench mgr or FO office on the very issues we are raising here? Only Reusse does it from a rhetorical, sarcastic distance where the Twins needn't even respond. Weak sports press. Get Chip Scoggins into the FO and the clubhouse.

    I looked at their lineup on Tues eve. BAs and OPS. I shuddered and closed game day. Statcast, not Dickens: BA: Atl, .270, 2nd Twins .231, 25th OPS: All, .827 (first) Twins, .706 (21st)

    He is a filler in low leverage situations at best. Please don't use valuable in the same sentence with 'Pagan.' Misuse of stats to justify baggage. Same stuff Rocco does. Long relief needs to be consistent, predictable. Those are antonyms, not synonyms, of Pagan.

    Another vote for Farmer at 3B on the A/S game (winks). Guy is one of the better trades FO played. $5,6MM well spent. The boy has GRIT! Joe Ryan needs to tame those BoSox hitters tomorrow. Go Twins.

    And a great report it is. Well done. I was stationed in Texas twice during the '60s and you couldn't drag me back with a team of horses, particularly for a domed stadium. Old school and they all rub me the wrong way, even when roof is open. Yes, I know their function in that Texas sun, Stood formation in it more than I care to admit. Keep up the reports! We did an Amtrak tour. Target, Miller Park (God know what it is named today), Wrigley, Rings More than Once Comiskey Park, Busch Stadium (now there is a ballpark!), and Kaufmann. The train trip gave it the 'Old School' feel. I will be going down to Cedar Rapids again this year and will file a report.

    Early in my non-bb career, 'collaboration' replaced 'compromise.' Takes longer but much healthier. I just had to turn my head 90.* I was as stubborn as hell before my perspective changed as 'compromise' didn't work. I was an 'either/or' boy.

    Just a word of thanks. Your coverage of MiLB really helps me keep up w/minors. Willing to venture a few (many words) on your thoughts about the Twin training and development vs say, Tampa/Baltimore/Oakland/Cleveland? Pick your comparisons and how well Twins do in comparison to a couple. TIA. db

    I encourage you to take in a Kernels game. It is 4 hrs down the road from the Cities. My wife (not a BB fan) always acquiesces and we'll visit CR for a weekend. The stadium, the ball, the fans, the vendors -- all reminiscent of small town America. Well worth the visit. And yes, I wear my Kernels 5950. Go Kernels!

    Kernels have the best logo in all of MiLB. Daytona Tortugas 2nd (my favorite hat in my wearing collection, the total of which my wife always exaggerates --grins).

    Lewis is fielding .905 at 3B this year. Hope it is just rook nerves driving the small sample.

    79-83 pending. Tito will tighten up the Cleveland bunch, SPs will heal, and the meek offensive weapons will be sufficient to Guard (Ian) the division title. The Lake Erie boys then will get tossed in the 1st playoff round like 3-day old bait.

    Went to a Tigers series in Detroit against Jays 5 years ago. They had a concert with Metallica the weekend before. What a mess the field was. Never seen anything like it. So bad they had to re-sod 1/3 of the outfield when the Tigers left for out of town.
