    The off-season during which I will gritch 😉 In all seriousness, September has been good ball if one moves past the Twins. I have enjoyed listening to the Tigers, their spirit, Hinch's managing with diminished roster, and all the WC spots.

    Enjoy those 3 but you have to work too hard to find them w/infrequent critiques of the Twins. I wish they would let Chip do more baseball but this is not a baseball governing town. Skor North? I let that whole station/personnel go once they laid off Derek and Manny. No baseball coverage.

    Their wins came against the also-rans and they choked on games with tough opponents, as previously discussed in the thread.

    There are no published rumblings. We have lived in 10 states and I have never seen such a lack of probing reporters as we have in the Cities. The local reporters are much too gentle, timid, or afraid to ask the hard questions, IMHO. Mike Berardino for the PP used to be good but he long ago moved on to cover Notre Dame/South Bend sports.

    Mize and Olson (pitchers)both just started again after 60 day and prolonged injuries. White and Faedo (Ps) done for the year. Baez is out for remainder of season. Tigers have gone with BP TWO beginners from BP on several games. Colt Keith just returned to lineup, albeit as DH. The young Mudhens have been busy, not laying eggs except on scoreboard.

    While injuries have impacted the Twins, it is a shallow argument for two reasons. 1. Everyone has injuries. The Tigers have been decimated but instead of folding, they are playing with youthful spirit; with heart and creative and inspired managing by Hinch. 2. Depth. How well has minor league development been achieved? How well have you scouted for HS/college talent? How ready are you for "next man up?"

    Matt Bowman sipped a cappuccino this Spring with the Twins. Have the Tiger/Orioles game on. Bowman pitche'd one inn in relief. His 4th MLB team this year as well as 3 MiLB teams. I imagine his head is spinning more than his curve ball with 7 different pitching coaches.
