    Leads off with his strongest OPS Jeffers, .822. Who is he supposed for drive in, when the 7/8/9 hitters are hitting .150, .073, .169? Help me understand the craziness that Baldelli is exhibiting with a lineup like that. Good grief, man.

    Lucas, maybe I am misremembering injuries from my youth of the '50s, but I never remember the slew of injuries in baseball which we see today. Is my memory misleading me or are the athletes of today better conditioned than they were in the past? Has sports medicine really improved the durability of today's baseball players.     I always liked Duffey until his time was overdue to be cut. I wish KC well with him but the now 33 yr old pitching at the AAA Omaha reveals some problems: 5.40 BB per 9

    A's kicked Yanks in Der arse. 2-0. Excellent game broadcast on Free TV MLB today. Dallas Braden did the color for the A's. He is excellent (try their podcast, "Baseball is Dead"). Aaron Boone got tossed; ump heard what he thought was Boone. It was a fan! Boone went crazy; Braden dropped a bunch of one liners at that point. Hilarious.

    He dove for a ball against the Guardians, landed on his shoulder, and took a ton of time to get up. I believe he finished the inning but came out of the game shortly thereafter.

    MLB rules permit switching hands between batters. However, he must declare which hand he will use exclusively on a batter. No switching hands between that single batter.
