  1. Amazing. Putting the ball in play after what, a dozen pitches. Shazam.
  2. Top of the 9th, need a run. 4 batters coming up are hitting: 053 .167 .125 .105
  3. and Kennys Vargas is playing for the Two Laredos in the Mexican League.
  4. Okert, 72% sliders this year. Refreshing to have Molitor in the booth rather than Dan0. Provus used to know how to involve Molitor in the booth. Atteberry doesn't as Atteberry is too busy talking.
  5. No one threw from the BP on Thursday and we are treated to amateur hour in MLB (sic).
  6. May 15th is always my arbitrary date before I touch a ticket; needs to warm up a bit. Played on too many cold days myself. Then I will see my usual 10 games a year, picking my opponents/starting pitchers.
  7. Not beatable when the Twins are hitting .181, the worst in MLB, and a .593 OPS, 29th. Ouch.
  8. Wind is blowing, hard, multi-directional.
  9. Wouldn't want to be playing the OF today.
  10. Talk about laying an egg for the home opener crowd. Cleveland booth (Tom Hamilton) said attendance was 35K and change. He estimated the BIS (butts-in-seats) at 30K. Said the crowd was a bit testy toward the Twins performance.
  11. (Soft voice). I miss Francona already. Call me sentimental. Go Twins.
  12. Baldelli, a listless manager, is convinced that micromanagement is equivalent w/leadership. Falvey is content and encourages it. Ownership wanted them to come in underbudget. All is well on Main Street.
  13. How is Provus doing in the TV booth? Miss him. Atteberry (sighs)...
  14. Marlins booth said this eve that Sano had lost 58 lbs via cardio, more salads/greens, and portion control. Hasn't translated to the bat. 8 ABs, 5 Ks. .111.
  15. Ah yes, elementary school. Raise one finger or two for the John.
  16. Have Brewers feed on audio. Ueker is doing play/by/play. He's 90 now.
  17. Oh, I miss County Stadium on such a glorious day...
  18. Rooker benched. Performance related or wrist band in support of protestors? https://www.fortsaskatchewanrecord.com/sports/baseball/mlb/did-oakland-demote-two-stars-over-fan-protest
  19. MLB radio has been a mess this week, to include Twins broadcasts. Live feeds interrupted with dead time while play is in action, audio on one booth and same game's second booth is off, commercial dead time, two commercials audios on simultaneously. What a mess this week. MLB really promoting its own feeds. Not sure if it is ads not being sold or if its MLB exercising its trump card.
  20. I believe MLB is moving away from interest in growing domestic product in the game and moving more to international. About 30% of players are already born outside of US. Series this year in Korea, Dominican Republic, Mexico City, and London suggest MLB's awareness of diminishing market here at home. This follows closely on heels of the World Baseball Classic last year in Phoenix.
  21. Safety issues. The roof can no longer be retracted while any fan is in the stadium, as I found out during Int'l series last Winter. Staff must decide early before first pitch on whether to open or keep it closed.
  22. Adrianza at Short; Sano at 3rd for the Angels. MLB.TV free access. Sano K'd in first AB and went yard in the 6th. Sano looks more fit than I have ever seen him.
