  1. He is hitting .067 in last 7 games; .080 last 15.
  2. Try is this eve and see if CWS or Tigers game goes to a black commercial screen during action. I gave up.
  3. Forget the MLB free game. Signal on two games cuts out right in middle of inning and goes to "Commercial in progress..." Repeatedly Free night. You get what you pay for so now I have the Jays radio booth turned on.
  4. A.I. hits Twins Daily ... write it down.
  5. Who owns the lowest ERA in MLB? This former Twin. Think about it a bit before clicking. Sioux-prize! https://www.mlb.com/stats/pitching?sortState=asc
  6. My favorite former Twin, Eduardo Escobar, is out of ball. The Blue Jays released him after ST and he has not been picked up by anyone, including AAA ball. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=escoba001edu
  7. I know I am straying a bit off OT, but I go to about 8-10 noontime games a year plus select games when the opponent is throwing Kershaw, Verlander, etc. $12.50/tix works better.
  8. I'm fortunate. Near light rail and 50% off as a veteran - nosebleeds Mon-Thurs.
  9. I studied in Guatemala, 1-on-1 for a month when Gandhii was an infant. I find the dialogue too quick to follow.
  10. MLB radio. Upside: 1. Can listen to opponents radio announcers. I have let Atteberry/Gladden go. Atteberry over-talks (was superb on game updates) and Gladden forgets we don't have video. 2. Get all 15 games every night; 30 booths. Some great announcers out there and key games to turn on.
  11. 1. I am a Caretaker. Why? To support an excellent site. 1a. Ads are excessively encountered for my Silver Caretaker $ 2. I am a happy camper. I skim through posts by trolls and overly negative ones. I do not find the site contains too many negative posts. Many posters are fans first and analyzers second. That is to be expected on a Twins site, no? 3. Rich content. I have writers I mentally follow and those I don't. 4. Click bait? There is some but I can discern in title and first paragraph. Your call on eliminating such articles. 5. I would have a forum dedicated to analytics. So much ball is governed by it.. I moved from 'old school' ball to understanding more analysis once I read Keith Law's "Smart Baseball." I would appreciate and learn from others in such a forum. 6. "Thumbs down" emoji. Let it go. Too confusing. Is it being used to disagree, used as a "gotcha?" or what is being disagreed with?' Keep up your good work and thanks for asking, DB
  12. We are moving to St Anthony Village. Did some scrubbing online and they have a community garden. I requested a plot last nite and we will see if they have been all gobbled up. Might get in some later planting in it this year and will just put in some short maturity sweet corn and tight maturity tomatoes.
  13. Folks within community distance driving -- make sure to check out the varieties of peppers and tomatoes at Hugo Feed Mill. 400 varieties of peppers: https://www.hugofeedmill.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/2024_MasterPepperList.pdf 125 tomato varieties : https://www.hugofeedmill.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/2024_MasterPepperList.pdf https://www.hugofeedmill.com/the-evangelist-of-peppers-hugo-man-puts-premium-on-peppers/
  14. I, on the other hand, will have no garden. 🥲 We just bought a condo (very, very happy with purchase) and my gardening will be a 8x9 patio on the 4th Floor. Pots, SE sun. Someone will inherit the 20x20 garden which I transformed 11 years ago from a petro chemical dependent space into an organic garden teeming with life. Every year I plant winter rye in fall, sickle and turn the rye under in spring. (Last fall I added daikon radish seeding to the charcuterie board). Worms live again! Last fall planted 70 garlic and they look wonderful. Will work with lettuce arrangement of the patio along with some other planters which can bring greenery into the home in fall. Lots of planning to do with it but for now, head is spinning with figures, documents to sign, planning for clearing out home and getting it staged and listed. Will also check out community gardens in that 4 buds and I have growing competition every year. This year it is pumpkins, which we need to process and then prepare pumpkin pie. Our spouses will be the judges to determine which of us smack talkers walks with the golden trowel this year. Garden on folks, DB
  15. Really, surely looked like Martin in LF when I was at the Saints game Wed nite. He misjudged a manageable slicing ball, which hit his glove and bounded into the corner down the line. Brutal play. Gracious home scoring awarded a hit. And don't get me started on how lost Wallner looks at the plate...0'fer 5 with 3 Ks.
  16. Gibby tosses for the Cards today at 2:40pm against the Tigers on MLB radio feed. I prefer (Dan Dickerson) the Tigers booth.
  17. Atteberry's younger brother. Was Perkins overdoing it last nite. Just about to turn the game on now.
  18. Calling all former pitchers. Pls watch SWR. When I saw him pitch at StP last year, he doesn't use his legs/thighs for momentum. His pitch is all upper body and arm. Contrast with someone like Verlander, who uses his legs so forcefully to deliver the pitch. Your observations today would be appreciated (I only have the audio and will have CWS broadcast on). Thanks in advance.
  19. Leads off with his strongest OPS Jeffers, .822. Who is he supposed for drive in, when the 7/8/9 hitters are hitting .150, .073, .169? Help me understand the craziness that Baldelli is exhibiting with a lineup like that. Good grief, man.
  20. Have the Mets/Giants game on. Lamont Wade Jr is playing 2nd for the Giants. In 23 games: .352 OPS, .909
  21. Had Cleve/Bosox on radio. Excellent game; Guard finally got to Houck. 2-1 Cleve in 7th, Cleve batting.
  22. The Sox's BP is gassed, regardless of right/left.
  23. Lucas, maybe I am misremembering injuries from my youth of the '50s, but I never remember the slew of injuries in baseball which we see today. Is my memory misleading me or are the athletes of today better conditioned than they were in the past? Has sports medicine really improved the durability of today's baseball players. Thanks in advance.]
  24. Very well written, thanks. Wish you were working on my shoulder right now.
