    They don't care. My guess is that they don't even know that the Twins have only 1 season series win against NYY in the last 23 years. Why try now with a AAAA team?

    If you are going to relegate certain players like a Kody Clemens as the bar or to the bench you first have to remove Falvey, who considers adding these types of players in the first place instead of spending the money on players that actual make the team better, and second, remove Rocco who considers them integral parts of the team that require more at bats than they deserve. Without doing that, nothing will change.

    My view of Rocco, the FO, and Ownership hasn't changed since the the 3 of them joined forces. Worthless from Day 1 and it has only gotten worse. Sorry, you just can't take the old school way of playing baseball out of me. Hustle and Fundamentals will never be replaced by Analytics. We've had 9 years now to show it doesn't work. I've grown tired of this "new" way of playing baseball. While it may have a place in the game, it shouldn't be the driving force in making every game decision on and off the field the way this organization has embraced it. How long do you have to fail at something before you recognize the mistake? It shouldn't take 9 years. Everyone making decisions at the top, from the Owners all the way down to Rocco and his coaches won't admit failure, but are willing to live with it or it wouldn't have continued for this long. Heads would have rolled. They seem to be proud of what they have accomplished and just give the fans the middle finger. Time for the fans to close their wallets and show them who's really in charge. Time for Buxton, Ryan and Lopez to move to a green pasture. The one at Target Field is a crappy brown.

    When Fal/vine took over the "plan" was to build a perrenial contender. Winning 1 playoff series to date is not it. The FO has taken a once promising team which we witnessed in 2019 and have completely destroyed it. Let's face it, the majority of the players on this team are just plain bad and with every passing year that list continues to grow. The probability and very likely subtraction of Lopez and Ryan this off-season will only make that worse. In 2026 the fans must make their voices heard by boycotting this team. Target Field needs to look like a ghost town if we want change where it counts. The Owners, the FO and the Management team on the field must go, or nothing will change.

    Buck could be playing for incentives. I don't recall the conditions in his contract but I think he gets extra money of he reaches certain levels of plate appearances and such.

    Decisions like this are a direct correlation to Rocco's management skill and mentality. It is zero.

    Irony. Wasn't too long ago, hitting and scoring runs was the problem. Now when they score the pitching is the problem. I guess you can say Falvey is making progress, (albeit in the wrong direction), because instead of 1 problem now they have 2.

    He's exactly the kind of bat the Twins count on. That's why they're so bad. Sorry, but there isn't a player in the major leagues on ANY team that is worth having on a roster that can barely hit .200 with an OBP under .300, unless he is a wizard with the glove and is used only as a defensive replacement. Stop trying to make bad hitters acceptable.

    Maybe Martins defense leaves a lot to be desired but what the Twins need is offense. Beyond Luke Keaschall, Martin is the Twins 2nd best "get on base" guy right now. Of course, the Manager without a brain, has him batting 9th when he should be leading off or hitting second. Buxton who has the power and should be hitting 3rd or 4th is leading off. Makes no sense. Please get a different Manager before the Twins seriously start rebuilding. My Lineup for the rest of this season: 1.Martin, 2.Lee, 3.Keaschall, 4.Buxton, 5.Wallner, 6.Jeffers, 7.Lewis, 8.Larnach, 9.Clemens

    Twins Hope to Unlock the Right One That's what this team is all about, although you forgot the 2nd half of the equation. Hope and a Prayer.

    I can understand the reason for the Gallo comparison but In 2023 and 2024 Wallner was a much better hitter than Gallo. Those 2 seasons he averaged a .250 BA and a .370 OBP. In fact, he looked to be better or at least equal to the guy (Kepler) he was replacing. Yes, this season he has fallen in those 2 catagories which is disturbing but maybe it's just an off "year" for him. Everyone has them. As far as I'm concerned Gallo had an off "career", when it came to making contact. I'll never understand anyone being enamored with a home run hitter that can't hit above the mendoza line. So far in his 4 year career Wallner has gotten about 1.5 seasons worth of at bats. Hardly enough time to make fair comparisons to anybody. The most disturbing thing you have shown is his failure at being clutch in medium to high situations. This could be attributed to many factors, such as the number of those being a small sample size or just his confidence level in those situations. Sometimes players, especially young ones, just try too hard in high leverage situations instead of staying relaxed and within themselves. As for Rocco batting Wallner in the leadoff spot, it isn't any brighter than having Buxton there. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes and not watch the stupidity.

    It doesn't matter which borderline players are in the majors getting at bats. With Rocco in charge they aren't consistant at bats with his, platoon/rest/play where you belong/DH/play a secondary position/bat first/bat 4th/bat 9th/get pinch hit for, kind of play that he uses almost every game. What we are finding out is that most all of them do NOT excel with his style and amount of playing time. Heck, even guys like Lewis, Lee, Larnach, Wallner are not excelling with his approach. Bringing in new players for a view isn't going to prove they belong or not when the manager doesn't know how to use them.

    Tommy Watkins can now send everyone around 3rd with reckless abandon. Wait his does that already. Two problems: 1.This is Tinglers idea, the guy who couldn't hold a managers job in San Diego. 2.Rocco isn't smart enough to think this up on his own. You can just feel the intelligence flowing from their tiny brains.

    If Sano can try right field the Twins could easily justify trying Wallner at 1B.

    Rocco will want him back to be the 2nd catcher behind Jeffers and that utility infielder they need to give the regulars a rest every other day. Besides, his .115 batting average is invaluable to this team.

    Falvey won't be trading Lewis. It's too early in his career. He is his signature draft pick and moving on from him would indicate a failure on his part. He won't do that without giving him another season to prove himself. As for the lineup..... good luck with that. With Rocco at the helm you might see it once all season. His constant platooning and moving guys up and down the lineup isn't going to change. It's too important for him to play bench guys like Gasper, Clemens, Julien. Add in the 2 new outfielders, (Outman and Roden) that will have to get a lot of playing time to try to make Falvey look smart for acquiring them and you have another season of musical chairs for Rocco.

    Statistics in last nights game against Toronto where both teams hit 2 Home Runs show your statistics are wrong again, Both teams hit 2 HR but the team that had more hits won. Once again average is certainly more important than power.

    I agree with the first statement but disagree with the 2nd. Wallner and current company all were pretty good hitters in the minors. That doesn't always translate to the same thing once they get to the majors as we can NOW see. The current crop of young hitters in the minors may not be any different. As for power scoring runs easier than average..... how did that game on Saturday when the final score was 3-7 against the White Sox go? The Twins hit 3 HRs and the White Sox hit 2. I can point to many more games like it this season, and the past 5 years, where the Twins went and out-homered the opposition and still lost. If it is easier then why aren't they scoring more runs? Look at Toronto this year, they have 154 HR and scored 640 runs where the Twins have 150 HR and scored 537 runs. Over 100 runs less on just 4 HR less. The problem is no one is getting on base because they are all trying to be power hitters. Maybe guys like Lewis, Lee, Larnach, Wallner, Jeffers should be trying to become better contact hitters and quit trying to replicate the bomba squad from 2019. (Which is what I think they are being told to do).

    I for one wouldn't take much advice from Correa. He supposedly worked with Miranda in 2023 and 2024 and look where that got him.

    I seriously want this to happen yesterday already, but with the current state of the team I am now leaning the other way. 2026 is going to be another year of crap especially if Ryan and Lopez or even just one of them gets traded. With that in mind, let's let Falvey and Rocco suffer through another season of ineptness and failure. Afterall, if the fans have to, why not the 2 people that are most responsible for it. As a GM and Manager who else would want to walk into this mess? Give them all of 2026 and on the last day of the season show 'em the door with a foot up their arse.

    Lopez and Ryan won't be here in 2026. The trade deadline showed us the true intent for the Pohlads was to dump salary. Lopez and Ryan are/will be too expensive to keep. Ober might be gone too however I don't think he'll bring enough back for the Twins to trade him. All of that, means Festa will be given all of 2026 to prove he belongs in the rotation. Expect to see Ober, SWR, Matthews, Festa, Bradley, Ohl, Abel, and Rojas be the options used. I can also see them resigning Hatch and a couple of other cheap veteran type arms that other teams DFA.

    Roden and Outman look like they will fit right in. Roden hit .158 and Outman is currently .133. Good Job Falvey. You know how to pick 'em.
