    Pitch anyone. I wouldn’t consider it codling with Ryan because he’d never ask for it. (And maybe they have approached him on the subject?) More protecting an investment rather having him rack up innings in games that don’t matter. Although, if you know you’re going to be unloading him…

    I don’t know why they haven’t skipped Ryan in the rotation yet…give him a break. I mean, there’s an argument to completely shutting him down. Not that I’d want that. He’s fun to watch.

    Buxton’s happy…not a peep out of him during this debacle, other than to praise ownership. If winning something…ever…is high on his professional priority list, it doesn’t show much.

    It’s that first time through the lineup for Bradley. Gotta figure out how to avoid letting him see the hitters for the first time. I can almost hear Rocco’s wheels grinding.

    Who is this Rodriguez guy everyone keeps talking about? Where is he? There’s been no evidence in the last 6 weeks that such a player exists in the org. I’ve looked. No word from the organization, the media, or this site on the status of this player. I can see that a Rodríguez was removed from a Saints game on July 12 with a ‘side strain’. But the trail goes dark almost immediately after that. Nobody seems to know where he is, or what he’s doing.

    In other minor league catcher news…happy birthday to Khadim Diaw who turns 22 today. I wonder what the relative projections are defensively for Diaw, Tait, and Jimenez?

    This! And he’s pretty young for A ball, as well. The first deadline acquisition, and immediately went under the radar with the subsequent blow-up and higher-profile acquisitions. The BB/K ratio really is encouraging. Obviously, there’s been a major effort to upgrade the catching depth in the org. We’ll see how it goes.

    You mean to say that they’re NOT going to put any of the money saved in the Pohlad’s Correa salary dump back into the team on the field?? But I thought getting rid of Correa would give them breathing room to do…‘something’…even a modest ‘something’,,,to better the team. Shocked, I tell you. Shocked! If you didn’t see this coming, you’re either not paying attention, or your fandom emotions have you blind.

    No. To make a dent in the lack of respect issue, the extension would have had to been at least through the year 2065.

    Better the 107 mph rockets land in the stands and terrorize the fans than to lose a player that finds himself in front of one.

    Any realignment could not possibly land the Twins in anything other than a stronger division. Realignment with the Cubs and Milwaukee (assuming the continuation of an unbalanced schedule) would be very bad. Unless it actually forced the organization to try to compete at that higher level. So, in summary…very very bad.

    Only one? I’d say the odds of that are pretty low.

    Struggling to reach 89 mph on your fastball, when all your other pitches…including changeup…are 83-84 seems like a recipe for disaster.
