  1. Because the article is about prospects. If you don’t like a reply just move on. Don’t let it ruin your day.
  2. Shouldn't they have seen the almost 2 years injury coming? Maeda: 2020 played in 11 games with a 2.70 ERA. 2021 played in 21 games (4.66 ERA). 2022 0 games, 2023 Spring Training played in 4 games (5.59 ERA) Graterol: 2020 played in 23 games with a 3.09 ERA. 2021 played in 34 games (4.59 ERA) and 2022 played in 46 games (3.26 ERA). Spring Training 2023 6 games (0.00 ERA) Maeda: 32 games Graterol: 103 games
  3. It's all great to speculate on prospects but we rarely get them past prospect. If we do they are usually one eyelash away from a serious injury.
  4. Why would this be a discussion without discussing who they would get to replace him?
  5. Seems like we got the short end of the stick on this trade with LA.
  6. Did the Twins get the short end of the stick in the Rogers/Rooker for Paddack/Pagen trade? Paddack is out and Pagen not so good? Rooker is having a good spring training and seems that Rogers is decent and will play
  7. I am worried. Probably too many years of constant waiting. Glass half empty, they are not going to announce anything the last possible minute, so it doesn't have an effect on ticket sales. I don't trust the front office or Pohlad's all that much. I think it was last year there was a shortened spring training and all kinds of excuses were blamed on that. I really hope he is okay and ready for Game 1 of the season and that he plays most of the year in CF.
  8. I know it has been a couple of years, but I am still angry about letting Berrios go. We knew he didn't want to stay and last year wasn't his best, although he did pitch a good number of innings. They did not want him to just walk away so they decided to trade (makes sense). BUT did they get anything for him. Starting to look like a bust. Austin Martin already on the 60 day and SWR hasn't had a good start in spring training. I know the spring training is not really something you can base much on but SWR has a 9.00 ERA so far. It is only 3 innings but still!
  9. I guess all I see is the inability of the training staff to bring this talent to the MLB level. The most recent best players that have played any significant time is Buxton and Berrios. I wonder if a different team could manage Buxton's injuries better. Berrios is what we needed and obviously did not want to be here. Will the 2 players we got for him ever emerge?
  10. MLB had a list of non pitchers already in camp. No mention of Buxton. Do you think they will wait until the last possible minute to tell us when or if he will be healthy?
  11. You still list Arraez. Sadly, that is one of the higher paid players (and deservedly so) that used to be here.
  12. If a player is injured for an extended period of time do they or can they collect insurance on the salary? Any details would be appreciated on how that work. I am going to guess they will collect on Buxton and maybe Correa. The reason I think that is there has not been a peep on Buxton's health and Correa's supposedly bad ankle.
  13. I was thinking more about how it would affect ticket sales and they are keeping his health status quiet for now. Who knows!
  14. I just haven't read anything about Buxton so wondering if will be ready for Spring Training or not.
  15. Has anyone heard anything about Buxton? Is going to be ready for 2023?
  16. Again, I wish the Twins would have an everyday DH. But the only every-day players as of today is Kepler and even, he may be "iffy" due to injuries, Correa at SS and Polanco at 2nd. Everyone else does not have a solid position except Buxton and we have no idea if he will be back or how he is doing. Has anyone heard anything? Spring training is only a month away and I have not seen much on injured players ready to return.'
  17. I would love a designated DH. I loved Cruz as that option. To me a DH is a position where you have a good chance of seeing a homerun. Not just putting any player out there.
  18. Seems the Twins are in hope and pray with the starters. Many haven't played an entire season in 3 years. If it changes GREAT but if not, then what? Lopez looks like he may have been in the bullpen but his ERA over his career is 5.45? Pitcher 2020 2021 2022 Avg Gray 11 26 24 20 Maeda 11 21 0 11 Ober 20 11 16 Mahle 10 33 23 22 Ryan 11 26 24 20 Lopez 10 Bull Pen? Bull Pen?
  19. What quality starter is left and who will come to a non-contending team?
  20. Which starter do you think they could get for Arraez?
  21. I for sure wouldn't call him a bad pitcher. He is at least average with a potential to be great. One bad season compared to his other seasons???
  22. Not wanting to stay on the team is correct. A player like him wants to go to a contending team. As for SWR he played in one game and 5 innings and gave up 2 runs. I have seen many times where a pitcher starts out well but then the batters figure him out and it can go downhill. I hope more than anything his projection are accurate. We have learned the hard way that projected doesn't always work.
  23. My point is we have not seen the players we traded a pretty good pitcher for so far nothing. Yes, he didn't have his best year but was 12-7 and gave the team 172 innings to help saving their bullpen innings! You can say it is looking quite good, but we have no idea. I also believe Berrios will improve. He is hardworking and competitive.
