  1. Both hits off the curveball. He needs to throw the curve that starts as a strike and ends up out of the zone like the first SO.
  2. I thought Stewart was done for the season. If he could return and be as effective as he was, it improves the BP immensely.
  3. Hamstring issue? Wonder how long that has been bothering him? Hope its not similar to Ryan.
  4. I Julien may be just a little worn down. Since the AS break he has the 3rd most PA (behind Correa & Kepler).
  5. I think this is a very important game as if the Twins can win, the best Detroit can leave the TC is 8 games back with 40 to play. I wish Julien was in the lineup, but based on the August numbers I can live with Solano at DH. Julien has an OPS of .535 to Solano 1.136
  6. It's not just the Twins who can't bunt. I was surprised to see we had 10 sac bunts which tied for 5th in the AL and 12th in the MLB. I don't think I sac with Correa, but I do like you idea of having the runner on first attempting to steal.
  7. Is this another anti-jinx article? Write a well thought-out position as to why a player shouldn't be on a MLB team only to have them go 5 for 5 PA and in next game he makes an game ending catch for a DP. If so, please keep up the good work!
  8. What are the Twins going to do with Luplow? I figured when they signed him he would be DFAd when Lewis or Buxton came off the IL, now I'm not sure.
  9. I believe that it is reversed. For the season Pagan has inherited 22 runners, allowed 8 to score (36.4%) and left 4 runners for the next pitcher. Jax's numbers are 6, 4 (66.7%) and 9. Tomorrow in that situation I would use Pagan as he has an ERA of 1.26 and a WHIP of .56 since the AS break. Jax's numbers are 3.09 and 1.48. In the post season I would use Jax first and if he had problems I would have Pagan come in to clean it up, unless there were 2 outs and then Duran for a 4 out save.
  10. On Gameday it looks like the umpire has a generous strike zone , which will be helpful to DK.
  11. I agree with your thought that the Twins are going defense first. With Keuchel pitching, it's going to be a test for Keuchel to get 3 outs before the Phillies get 3 hits/walks each inning.
  12. Thanks, if they were playing back I was hoping for a bunt. One run may win this game.
  13. When Julien struck out with a runner at third, was infield playing in? I am following on Gameday. TIA
  14. I think they have 12 games after today, 6 CLE, 4 CHI & 2 DET
  15. DK made the game very nerve racking, but as someone above said the most important Stat was he gave the Twins a chance to win the game. I think the bandbox of Philly will be the true test. DK will have to keep the Phillies off balance and induce a lot groundballs.
  16. That was a great all-around game, except for 13 Ks out of 21 outs against their "pitchers". I'm afraid today Rocco will put a get-away lineup behind Keuchel. I wonder if moving Keuchel to today was Rocco's move to save Lopez or the FO trying to get a larger crowd.
  17. This is a great time to use Moran, as he lacks control. Either he regains control or as Chief said send him to St. Paul.
  18. If Winder never sees the mound because our starters went 6+, isn't that a good thing. He is there to clean up a mess like Ryan had or a pitcher injury.
  19. Rocco may worried about Keuchel tomorrow and wants Wnder ready, just in case
