  1. If your PH for Julien, I would use Correa over Vasquez
  2. If Kepler makes that catch, DK on gives up one run. In both todays and Mondays game the defense let the starter down.
  3. Why not pick up the option and then trade if Lee is pounding the door down.
  4. I am glad they gave DK a chance. However, in his career he has come into relief 12 times, and has only had 5 inherited runners and all of those occurred in 2013. Funderburk is a reliever an DK is a starter. We just have to agree to disagree.
  5. I agree that using Funderburk against Calhoun was a Rocco special. Should have allowed Pagan to face him as Funderburk had only one MLB previous appearance. I would rather have Funderburk come into that situation than Kuechel as Funderburk is used to coming in with men on base, Kuechel isn't.
  6. Maybe Rocco hopes Floro will have the opposite result of Monday's appearance.
  7. I agree, but not because of today. Defense gave TB 3 runs. I'm glad the Twins called him up as they have won 5 of the 6 games he appeared in. One of the wins was in spite of a bad outing by Kuechel. Kuechel is a starter and as such needs to come in at the start of an inning if he is pitching relief. I would rather have Funderburk than Kuechel of the postseason roster. Edit: In the postseason at most you will need 4 starters, do most teams carry 8 relievers?
  8. I think he is already fully vested based on this from a search for the MLB retirement plan "After ten years in the major leagues, players receive an annual pension benefit of $100,000. MLB players, who have played for 10 or more years and have accrued at least 1,000 days on an MLB roster, can receive the maximum pension benefit of $230,000 per year."
  9. Who do we have the BP for long relief?
  10. Bradley has reverse splits, RH hit him better than LH.
  11. Correa with a day off. His defense hasn't been up to his standards the last couple of days.
  12. "Carlos Correa wishes he had that one back" liner by Josh Lowe (no relation) that went from being an inning-ending double play into a run-scoring single in the blink of an eye. How close was that to being an out. On the Gameday video it looked like the ball was hit hard, but they didn't show any video of Correa's reaction to the ball.
  13. When to pull a starter? TB thought Littell could get through 7, but ended losing the game. Rocco has made similar decisions and ended losing games. It's a no win situation.
  14. No, should have if not for our fielding, baserunning and relief pitching.
  15. I'm a realist. Duran hasn't been lights out lately.
  16. Would be nice to get a run or two.
  17. Julien swung early, but the pitch was pretty much center cut. Hit it hard, but an out. Better than getting called out on strikes on a boarderline pitch.
  18. I hope Ryan gets the win tonight. I was hoping for a 3-3 homestand, and I'm not to confident about tomorrow with DK pitching. DK has been good at home, but think TB will make him throw strikes.
  19. The 8th has been good to the Twins in September, hopefully they can come back.
  20. Those 2 pitches looked right down the middle of the plate.
  21. Why wouldn't Rocco put in a long reliever?
