JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Is there some mechanism that stops you from shouting on the forums? I typed ARCIA (all caps) and it came out Arcia. Hmmm... learn something new everyday.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Okay, that's weird. If it is the only thing, it changes to Caps and small letters but in a sentence will stay all caps. Rambling, sorry.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Make that an even dozen dingers for the mighty Twins this spring. Gotta be worst in baseball.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Make that an even dozen dingers for the mighty Twins this spring. Gotta be worst in baseball. But hey, Arcia has 16.6% of them.
MileHighTwinsFan Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 No, Mauer has to leadoff. Mauer as the leadoff makes zero sense. He has to be in a place to drive in runs. He is the only guy on the club who makes consistent contact.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Twins defense doing a comedy routine .... for Pirates Fans.
Dave T Provisional Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Your 2014 Twins are on full display today. Four hits through 7 innings, and one run (Arcia HR). And yet we are winning the game due to the outstanding pitching performances. So what does it all mean for 2014's won-lost record? Damfino.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 We're all bozos on this bus.* *Props to those who get the reference. If I could remember the 70's I'd get it!
Dave T Provisional Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Oops, spoke too soon. Mauer, WTF?
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm not watching this game, but I noticed that Mauer was having a lot of trouble defensively. Not picking up balls cleanly, chasing after balls he needs to let the 2B get and leaving no one to cover first... I know that first base is supposed to be a pretty easy position to play, but don't take it for granted that Mauer's going to step in and be a Gold Glover there...
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 How many times will Joe Mauer be stranded at second base this season. Kubel - K, Willingham pop out. Mauer has to hit third - doesn't he? - if we are ever going to get any runs. No, he has to leadoff. He'll walk at least 100 times in front of Willingham. We need a leadoff that can get on base, and that's Joe. You say we need him to drive in runs, well that hasn't worked very good in all the years past, has it? We need him to score runs, and not have the bat taken out of his hands.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Cheated and googled it. The cover is so awesomely, quintessentially late 60's/early 70's that it has to be shared: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/43/FT_itwajbotb.jpg/220px-FT_itwajbotb.jpg
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Just caught the last inning, and Bremer just said, of Arcia I think "Twins fans should have every reason to expect him to hit 20 homers". While I have high hopes for Arcia, I can't begin to explain how unsurprised I would be if nobody hit 20 homers for the Twins. And there's certainly nobody who fans should have "every reason" to believe will hit 20 out.

The thread in the other forum about mlb.com writers should be tripled for team broadcasters.
