Anyone read Fangraphs Positional Power Rankings?

Fun read, gives an outsiders perspectives on the depth of the organization at the different positions.

 

Someone should compile all the rankings, it might be impressive.

 

Also, its easier to scroll all the way down and then work your way up to the Twins rankings

Interesting but not encouraging for the position players.

 

They only rank above average at 1B(barely).

 

Every other position is the bottom third of the league at best.

I had forgotten about those. They provide some additional... I don't know, informed opinion?... in the recent discussion about the trade value of a couple of Twins players.

I enjoy reading them quite a bit. usually because I read about players on other teams I'm interested in, not from scrolling to the bottom and reading the Twins' results. Actually, I generally find Fangraphs to be entertaining, if not always something I agree with. The articles are generally well written, and the chats are usually quite fun.

I try to avoid Fangraphs, but I just saw BBTN's rating on first basemen. Mauer was tabbed as #4, ahead of Prince, Tex, Davis and a host of others, trailing only Miggy, Goldschmidt, and Votto. That gives me some hope. Then I checked the archives to see how highly they rated the Twins' second best position player. Well, Dozier didn't make their Top Ten, and didn't merit mention in their analysis. Hmmm, I guess I have him as a Top Ten 2B.
