Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 At the game and can't put in lineups as it gives me carpal tunnel trying to do that on my phone. So, without lineups, chatter and play ball! Mets:Juan Lagares ® CFRuben Tejada ® SSLucas Duda (L) 1BIke Davis (L) DHAndrew Brown ® LFZach Lutz ® 3BKirk Nieuwenhuis (L) RFTaylor Teagarden ® COmar Quintanilla (L) 2B SP: Gee Twins:Brian Dozier ® 2BJason Bartlett ® SSJoe Mauer (L) DHJason Kubel (L) RFWilkin Ramirez ® LFChris Parmelee (L) 1BJosmil Pinto ® CEduardo Escobar (S) 3BAlex Presley (L) CF SP: Nolasco
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Okay, top 1st and judging by who's on the field, it's a day of backups. Dozier is the only started out there
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I'll help out. For the Twins: Dozier - 2BBartlett - SSMauer - DHKubel - RFRamirez - LFParmelee - 1BPinto - CEscobar - 3BPresley - CF Nolasco pitching. I haven't found the Mets line-up yet (even though I'm watching them hit. Ugh).
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 So, without lineups, chatter and play ball! Hey badda badda. No stick, no stick. Oops, two-run double.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 For the Mets. Lagares - CFTejada, R - SSDuda - 1BDavis, I - DHBrown, A - LFLutz, Z - 3BNieuwenhuis - RFTeagarden - CQuintanilla - 2B Gee pitching.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 3-0 w/1 out in the 1st. EEK - Ricky digging a hole.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 I thought Pelf was supposed to pitch today
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Nolasco's not sharp today at all. Another meeting at the mound. "Don't do that." "OK."
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Okay, I'm giving it 2 innings if we ever get out of this one, then heading over to watch the minor league games with Halsey
adjacent Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It sounds like the curse of the Twins opening day starter.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Okay, I'm giving it 2 innings if we ever get out of this one, then heading over to watch the minor league games with Halsey Should be 100% more fun. I'd opt for that almost regardless of the doings on the major league field. But 5-0, it's not even a decision to make.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 7-0, one out. Hope the Mets wanted to take BP today.
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 "First inning bullpen activity"- always nice to hear... but only 7 of 10 batters score, so it could have been worse.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Never let Dick & Bert brag you up ... it's the sure kiss of death for a pitcher.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 "First inning bullpen activity"- always nice to hear... but only 7 of 10 batters score, so it could have been worse. Veteran pitcher who knows how to bear down to keep a 7-run inning from becoming a disaster.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Good thing we got our ace on the mound today... On a serious note, better to get this out of the way before the season starts
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Veteran pitcher who knows how to bear down to keep a 7-run inning from becoming a disaster. Exactly! It only gets better from here... next inning?.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Okay. Down on the minor league fields now.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Exactly! It only gets better from here... next inning?. You called it!
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Okay. Down on the minor league fields now. Give us the scoop!
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Feels like we have two possible headlines at this point:1) Nolcaso Fails to Match Crookedest Number in Second Frame or2) Twins-Mets Make MLB Look Like BP
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 The scoop? TKs yelling things out from the bench and I have a nice shot of mientkiewicz's ass
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 and I have a nice shot of mientkiewicz's ass Pics or it didn't happen.
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Fein in, not Worley? What's got into Gardy?
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Fein in, not Worley? What's got into Gardy? Bad form to put in a guy who is on waivers. What if he gets injured right when another team is claiming him... Not sure it's even allowed, actually. He's DFA, so technically I'm not sure if he's in major league camp anymore or what.
BigTrane Provisional Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 9-0? Just gets better... get to admire that sparkling Mets offense. At least we can make somebody look good.
gil4 Verified Member Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Pics or it didn't happen. Most of us don't want the pics

Well, sure- just taking another look, I'm sure- why not?At this point in the game, I'm all sarcasm. Otherwise, I'd have to pin my hopes on our sparkling offense!
