A's magic number is now 3 ...

Didn't Gardy need just 5 wins for 1000 at, like, the beginning of September? A's were still in a race then and yet they have a good shot at clinching before he 'celebrates' 1000. Sigh. Another long season.

I had given serious thought to driving down to see tonight's game and tomorrow's. Looks like I made the right choice staying home.
