Looks like the idiot Terry Ryan missed another opportunity to sell high.

There's still time. What GM wouldn't like to acquire a front-line SP with a better ERA than Chris Sale?

/ as of the middle of the 5th inning, at least

Yeah, he needed to be working the phones the first 4 innings. Oh well.

Not that it would have mattered - he would have never cleared waivers back then.

Dick: "Situations like this have cost the Twins SO many ball games."

Me: Would that be 'looking up at a 5 spot from the opposition in the fifth inning?'

That'n was pretty nifty, too.

Are there any stats on slow guys reaching first on infield singles? Because the Twins batters seem like they must lead the league in that.

/ partly because they lead the league in slow guys?

I checked Fangraphs, they don't think it's a good strategy, long term.

Almost 100 pitches - do we sent Albers out for the eighth?

/ out to the mound, not out of the stadium

My guess is he comes out for the 8th unless the bottom of the 7th lasts a long time.

And I'm OK with that.

So...how's the corn roasting coming along, Gibby?

I think I'd rather have a Twins pitcher give up 5 runs and pitch 7+ innings than have a Twins pitcher give up 3 runs and pitch 5 innings.

Sorry, lost my head there for a minute.

I think it's pretty clear he paid a price this game for his manager foolishly having gone for the CG last time.

Corn is done, just finished vacuum packing it. The boxer is home from the vet, a bit loopy, but on his feet.

Tough to choose, both options sound so great.

I'm sure given time, he'll learn to love another.

Now I just have to get through a match with Bulgaria without stroking out, and my day will be complete.

What in the world is a moob, and why are you calling me one?

Sheesh ... we covered this several game threads ago ... moob = man boob

After a Twins walkoff, you mean, right?

I am now ... just catching up with the thread. Was out to dinner.

Ohh, where did you go? I had a crummy hot dog.

Albers gives way to Roenicke and Theilbar in the 8th.

Who had that in the preseason "Name the August pitching staff" pool?
