In honour of Andrew Albers I'm drinking a Pil for every SO and perfect inning......that's loyalty, believe me!

Revised to now include innings in which he gives up at least one hit.

Apparently they come in plastic and metal coated, different colors, and some even light up! They are also known by several different names, my favourite being 'drive by danglers'

Actually he was born in Illinois.

On September 9, 1942, Albert enlisted in the United States Navy and was discharged in 1943 to accept an appointment as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his actions during the invasion of Tarawa in November 1943, when, as the pilot of a U.S. Coast Guard landing craft, he rescued 47 Marines who were stranded offshore (and supervised the rescue of 30 others), while under heavy enemy machine-gun fire.[5]

I gotta say... Invasion via Landing Craft does not sound like fun.

Tarawa was such a disaster (3,000 dead and wounded) Congress had hearings on it. The USMC learned a few lessons from that one.

What happens to them when they get wet? If they get punched does the truck get a pain in the gas tank?

Meanwhile, back to the matter at hand.

If Albers keeps this up are the other pitchers going to give him a blanket party?

Yeah probably... But... You would have a better chance of sneaking in swimming. A landing craft full of soldiers is gonna draw attention.

I think we may be confusing Arnold (the pig) with Albert (the actor).
