I hope Jamey Carroll wins a ring with the Royals. Excellent player, and a great example of professionalism for the younger guys.

People are upset about this how? The Twins got something (hopefully a PTBNL) for a backup infielder. I want the player, but quite frankly won't complain if it's a player or cash.

I don't see anyone upset at all, maybe ThePuck is, not sure. I'm not upset, I'm withholding judgement on how good it is for FANS until we see what happens.

 

I get it, some people don't care that the Twins are not doing everything they can to turn over every stone to get lucky and find a players. Others would like the Twins to concentrate more on that than on money, but reasonable people can disagree. We can wish they had done something different, without being upset.

 

Like I've said, great job getting something for a guy they were not using. Whether that something is good for US, we'll just wait and see.

Nope, not upset at all. I like him, hope he and the Royals make the playoffs, but not upset in the least.

IMHO whatever cash or grade C prospect we get for Carroll is a bonus. This was all about getting something to open a roster spot for Mastro--if we didn't trade Carroll or Doumit we would have to DFA somebody (Bernier??). Now Clete and Carroll face off over the remainder of the season for the 4th OF spot in 2014 and 2015.
