cmb0252 Provisional Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Sano playing today. A walk & 2 RBI single. Did damage against Phillies top pitching prospect Biddle. Also, Twins second round pick Eades has thrown two scoreless innings so far.

Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Buxton 2 for 4 with a home run
cmb0252 Provisional Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Buxton's power has been showing lately.

I was just looking at his numbers, and other than a small SLG drop (which might have more to do with his first week in transition), his numbers are nearly identical to FTM. I suspect he'll be playing in MN sometime next year.

His ceiling might be a .320 BA with 10-15 HR and 30 2b. I'm not sure if he'll develop the patience Carew did, but he has shown some ability to walk. His 2012 numbers in Beliot are looking pretty realistic right now. Some guys can just hit, and I think Rosario might be one of them. Its going to be hard to keep him off the roster.
kab21 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Rosario is nothing like Carew. Rosario is more of a Todd walker type. Revere had a similar offensive game to Carew.
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Is Robinson Cano a reasonable comp for Rosario? Eddie has generally out-hit Cano at comparable stages through the minors, although Cano was a year younger following the same path (eg Cano played at A and AA as a 20 yo).Cano's power didn't really show up until 4-5 years into his Major League career (averaged about 15 HR in his first 4 years) - I'd be more than happy if Rosario can follow a similar track.Like many others on here I've got a season ticket on board the Rosario bandwagon.
