Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19 Posted August 19 You just catch up when you can. They will keep for a day or a weekend. I keep a daily Win/Loss tracking sheet and you just catch up when you can. In the end odds are odds but the data has value when you track the movement daily with your own data entry watching the wheels turn in real time. I will have no doubt in my mind that you will be/are someone who will have more perspective on what two games out on September 12th actually means because of the work you are putting in. And I appreciate your sharing it. jaimedude, Hawkeye Bean Counter and glunn 3
Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Taj Bradley with a strong day, Culpepper and Clemens came through with the bats and the bullpen and Gomez closed out the sweep. Twins hold the final spot in the playoffs Record - 63-65 Playoff Percentages 39.2% (5 teams in the AL less than 2 wins behind) Lottery odds - will take a break on this as we are currently in playoffs and would not be eligible for lottery. Playoff odds now 7.2% If I were a betting man I would say the Twins go on a winning streak, whether stringing them together or winning 7-8 games out of a 10 game stretch. Just need the starting pitching to provide some good performances.

Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted Wednesday at 12:36 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 12:36 PM Twins with a gutty performance. A solid 5 innings from Kremer and Clemens with the big hit and the bullpen closed it out to get the win. Things are getting tight on the playoff front. We have 4 teams in front of us - Cleveland, Toronto Texas and Baltimore. The good news is 6 of our next 16 is against Cleveland and Texas. We really need sweeps in both series. I am thinking the Twins need to go at least 13-3, maybe 14-2 down the stretch to get in but there is still a chance. The next 4 games are huge. We need to go 3-1 and if there was ever a time for a winning streak it is now. Playoff odds - 3.1%
Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted Thursday at 02:21 AM Author Posted Thursday at 02:21 AM After a disappointing loss, odds are down to 2.5%. Draft odds remain the same.
Hawkeye Bean Counter Verified Member Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago Playoff odds down to 1.2%. There are 5 teams all grouped around same record for lottery odds. There could be be significant volatility in the next week on their odds. Could vary from 20% chance of top 6 pick to as high as 60%.
