Focus any free agent money on bullpen and defense, so Ty France. Let the new kids figure out how to score some runs and hope for the best.

If these are our only type of options they might as well just roll with Fedko and Clemens. I'd love to see a trade for some legit first baseman, but I doubt it. Maybe a one year deal for someone like Josh Bell? If nothing else he could be trade bait at the deadline if he does well.... I wouldn't mind seeing if Larnach or Wallner can play first. Polanco is a free agent again, it'd be nice to see him back Manning first base for us;)

Why?  Because they OPSed .800+ at Reno?  That place is a launching pad.  I'd trust their small sample size major league numbers over that.
