Anyone going to the Twins series at Yankee Stadium?

Saw that a few people were going to the futures game, I plan on going to the Friday night game for sure (Sat as long as the Twins don't embarrass themselves too much Friday and the woman agrees to go again)

Would be good to meet up at Stans an hour or so before Friday's game to grab a few beers and chat Twins.

Last time we had Nick Nelson and Username (mike) in town and it was a pretty good time, I recall we went to Frankie Rodriguez's random ass "bar" afterwards.

I would love to and it would be especially nice because the All-Star game is in NYC right after. But we chose the other coast - Safeco and AT&T are my top two remaining ballparks.

And was the Franke Rod event that you're talking about the one that was after the (I think) the Mets-Twins Santana game? (And the World Cup USA game?) If so, TVOR and I were there too.

Yeah it was definitely that same weekend I believe, though not sure which night I went to the Frankie thing.

I believe I met you around Wrigley that time with Nick as well. (Nick was basically harassing Brian Buscher that day haha)

Yup, I heard they shut that down recently. Also color me unimpressed with Wrigley in general, what a dump.

Talking about one of the shrines of baseball that way?, you do realize you are in a minority that probably constitutes .01% of genuine baseball fans? Your expectations need to be adjusted for a nearly century-old neighborhood ballpark, not a downtown artificial architectural facsimile rendering, no close-by interstate exits, with a unique atmosphere, both inside the park and all along the near-Northside strip along Clark St.- incomparable in baseball

Lol shrines, it's a piece of **** stadium that has housed a life long terrible team, now you goto the game and the bleachers are full of drunk obnoxious yuppies who know nothing of baseball and can barely stand up without passing out, or 400 lb Chicagoans who can't possibly fit in those tiny seats and their fat rolls bleed over into your seat and take up a solid 30% of that.

The place is literally falling apart, old style beer is the worst, the bathrooms are an abomination where good holy Christian butt cheeks were never supposed to sit upon. The food sucks as well.

The area is kinda cool tho, I will give you that.

I'm with Dave on this. Wrigley is a dump. Shrine of what? Baseball past? Then turn it into that and have the modern day Cubs play elsewhere in a modern day stadium. The Cubs have done far too little in recent times for it to be any kind of a shrine.

I'll be at the game Saturday. Going up with a bunch of my buddies for my Bachelor Party. Going to the game and then staying over in NYC...it's probably going to get pretty ugly.

I've never been to Wrigley, but I can't imagine it's any more of a dump than Fenway. Fenway is the worst place to watch a game.

I'll be behind the Twins dugout on Saturday.

And how dare you Dave. Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone should have one that looks like everyone elses.

Legends seating for the Legendary Shocker? Nice.

It is worse than Fenway, Fenway sucks as well, like 20% of the seats are behind giant beams.

11 out of 12 games have been losses, wow this should be a fun series...

Have been to both Fenway and old Tigers Stadium, and, for all its pre-World War I nostalgic charm, it was an even bigger dump and in a worse location to boot.

But yeah, Fenway is cooler for being Fenway than it is for actually seeing a game there. Would still recommend the experience to anyone, more to say you've been there than to enjoy the accommodations.
