You honestly think Baldelli isn’t a part of the problem at this point? It’s the one move that has a chance of making at least a small difference immediately…and show the fan base that you care at all. 
 

Meanwhile, there’s the hope that new ownership will make the additional changes to change the coarse of this franchise.

Firing a manager / coach mid-season is generally a bad idea.  Inevitably, the team plays better after the change.  Often do in no part to the change.  Far too often improvement leads to the interim guy being retained rather than a thorough and exhaustive search being made and far too often doing so proves to be a bad move.

They’re not firing Baldelli anytime soon. I’m not a fan of his pitching philosophy, as he dogmatically follows pitch count analytics with starters. His early hook with their best pitchers on low pitch counts likely costs the team wins. The most recent example is the April 10 loss to KC. Ober was removed after six innings, 1 run, 5 hits, 1 walk, 78 pitches. The BP immediately coughed up the lead. But Rocco is not to blame for injuries to Lewis and others, nor the inept hitting.

I love the Woonsocket Rocket; always admired him; Renaissance type of guy, a baseball lifer? Nah. I think his priorities are solid. If Falvey and Rocco were to go wouldn't Adrianza be in line? We love hiring former Twins utility men as managers (Billy, Frank, Slick, Gardy, TK). Yes, I know TK and Gardy never got a chance to suit up.
