asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just watched Nathan with his first dominant close for Texas and a tear came to my eye.... His stuff looked incredible
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 What is there to say? Pavano somehow getting by while tossing underhand and Twins hitters repeatedly grounding out to the pitcher. One club is looking very unprepared for the start of the season. 2 hits given up by Pavano but 3 runs...?

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Great pitch, Carl. Even better catch, Ryan!
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Doumit looks incredibly uncomfortable going back on the ball. That was just terrible
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Poor outfield defense just came into play.......................
headcheese Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 A little defensive, Nick?not much good to say so far.... jamey carroll looks solid.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Single positive for the Twins so far....Carrolls defense has looked better than I expected (granted, very small sample size)
dabecka Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Offense looks pathetic and Doumit in right. How long will Gardy go before we see a Span-Revere-Willingham OF?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Can't miss bats, can't win games as a pitcher.....
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Haven't been impressed with Carroll's arm, but that was a legitmately major league catch. Very tough play.
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Nice play by Willingham - great throw!!
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Kubel woulda caught that or at least blow out a knee trying! ...and Carroll is starting to win my heart. W'ham too!
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 That was the first time I saw the "Great Hrbewski" I think I might skip dinner tonight.
Nick Nelson Site Manager Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 A little defensive, Nick?Didn't mean to be. Just crabby with the course of the game thus far.
scottyc35 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Nathan perfect inning w/ one K, 11 pitches, 7 for strikes. watch him rack up a 40+ save season while Capps continues to suck
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 MLB has ruined "God Bless America" with overuse.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Expected this type of game out of Pavano, thought our offense could put up some runs though. At least the beer is cold, and the "working from home" thing is going alright.

Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Ok. That Doumit (and Span btw) play was ugly, but Cuddyer and Kubel have done the same thing many times...
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Ok. That Doumit (and Span btw) play was ugly, but Cuddyer and Kubel have done the same thing many times...Pretty tough for Span to expect the ball to carom of Doumit's glove the way it did. I agree Cuddy and Kubel would have likely had the same result.
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just got here, listening on the radio. Where's our bats????

Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Maybe the Twins hitters have better luck against the Baltimore bullpen...
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Pavano is keeping us close. I have no idea how he hasn't given up 10 runs this game - It doesn't look like he has anything today.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Credit should go to Carroll, Willingham and Parmalee's defense for keeping it to just 4 runs.
dabecka Provisional Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Great AB by Sean Burroughs. 1st pitch swinging.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Great AB by Sean Burroughs. 1st pitch swinging.Eh it is what it is. I usually don't mind first pitch swinging against relief pitchers. Often times it is the most hittable pitch in an at bat, as the pitcher is trying to get ahead of the count early.
