    Here's an outsider's perspective. I go to 5-7 Colorado Rockies games a year. The team sucks and I was around before there was a huge ass bar/food/lounge area in the right field upper deck. To me, it was the best damn thing the Rockies have done since building Coors Field in the first place. You can still easily watch the game from Right Field and the rails are packed up there, especially during good weather (even though the team sucks). The sun sets in the left field and there is unobtrusive views of sunsets over the Rocky Mountains. When the Rockies are down 5-0 in the 2nd inning and the games are lasting 3 hours, it's a great place to watch a game and gives an alternative for others. They have a good burger joint and other food options as well as numerous colorado microbrews up there. I wouldn't worry so much about family friendly atmosphere. There is a game going on after all and all sorts of food options around. I think it's a great addition to the ballpark if those "cheap seats" went mostly unsold anyways, right?

    I'm sorry, but why would Twins Daily crew be researching, generating unique content, editing, and publishing a e-book...then giving it away...for free. Last time I checked, we lived in America.

    Actually the right choice was never to sign Jason Marquis since Swarzak is essentially the cheaper equivalent. I understand TR's need for depth, but Marquis was a decent signing. I hate to see him starting over Swarzak though. I feel Anthony deserves a shot.

    If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Other than Mauer's liner to 3rd, Morneau's double, and Willingham's dinger, the Twins haven't hit the ball hard at all.

    So proud that the offense currently consists of 9 inch grounders and popups in foul ground with RISP.

    Offense looks pathetic and Doumit in right. How long will Gardy go before we see a Span-Revere-Willingham OF?

    The answer is money. Selig's job is to run Major League Baseball, keep the owners happy, manage the players union, and put the best product forward so the owners make money. Well -- the value of most Major League teams have been skyrocketing, fueled by a successful MLB lobby to get new stadiums. Players are making money, owners are minting money, baseball is still popular and relevant, and MLB has been introducing new revenue streams through the Internet. There's not another major sport that sells it's product on the web better than baseball.
