If only there was a relief pitcher in AAA who can go more than one inning.... Eh, with 70-person bullpens and few games over 10 innings nowadays, you don't really need long relievers. Even with yesterday's start in consideration.
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 The pine tar is mayo based.
Danchat Verified Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Hey, first career hit for Helman. Nice! Shaitan, Peter, Craig Arko and 1 other 4

And of course Rocco has to get every RH bat in, for what? To weaken the defense? We have one run through 4. What good did it do to load the lineup with weak RH bats? I mean, you're preaching to the choir here...... knothole61 1

Interesting Helman is in right field right out of the gate. He might be a step up from Martin day one. Current throws excepted.

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Martins - notes for the lefty ? play deep on warning track
gregens Verified Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 They were just talking about Ohtani trying for 50 hr and 50 SB. I wonder if Mays or Mantle could have done it if they thought it would be a "thing" to go after in their day?

OvertheHill Verified Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Unsolicited opinion - I really want to be optimistic about Martin but he doesn’t look very instinctive as an outfielder. He’s athletic but makes things look difficult out there. Contributing to the perception that this is really a defensively challenged team sans Correa and Buxton. THIS....should've been 5 shoutout with enough pitches to get into the 6th. 8th grade jump on that ball that dropped in front of Martin and how in the world is a ball that hits your glove between your feet and end up in the outfield considered a hit????? I was watching the family celebrate and I was thinking to myself "Not so fast, that's an error....."
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Now the plodding stench that is watching Caleb Thielbar unable to put anyone away..

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Farmer's range, measured via the same scale as glaciers, comes into play yet again. That's three already this game. mrtwinsfan, Mike Sixel, OvertheHill and 1 other 4
cheeseheadgophfan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 I hate umps like this guy who seem to expand the strike zone because it's a soft-tossing lefty. He's given Springs about 4 changeups that are way outside. Makes no sense. Just another brutal offensive performance...... Schmoeman5 1
