Not sure if they would sign or not...but:

-Thor

-Alex Reyes

-Adelberto Mondesi

-Matthew Boyd/Clevinger

-Brad Hand

Who would you target?

I'd take them all on minor league deals. Not in the sense that they should sign them all, but just in the sense that signing minor league deals is a good strategy and any of those guys are worth having around just in case. Clevinger would be my first choice, though.

The bench is full of experience at the MLB level. I don't see much reason to clog up AAA with veteran retreads. Let the kids play at that level.

AAA has Larnach, Lee, Severino, Miranda, Martin, Camargo, Woods Richardson, Festa, Headrick and Ohl who should all be playing regularly. That's 6 position players and 4 starting pitchers. The AAA bullpen is already full of non-roster invites.

The Twins should be interested in a long reliever to move Sands back to AAA and they might find one off waivers but that's different than finding a veteran to put in AAA.

The one thing I'd like to see the Twins have is a decent veteran starter in AAA like Odo or even Brad Keller. Clevinger turned down a $12m option so I'm guessing that he will only sign a MLB contract with maybe taking a 6 week ramp up time in AAA. I think that would actually work for the Twins since one of the starting five is probably going to be heard or ineffective by mid May and, by the way, Varland has been hammered his last two times out in spring training. I'm hoping that they're reaching out to Clevinger to see if they can't sign him to a one-year deal with an opt out.

Yeah, Clevinger will only take a major league deal, and he's probably still sitting out there because he wants 2 or more years.  I'd be interested in Reyes because of his fastball.  Mondesi has always intrigued me, but he's never healthy (Twins fans are waaay to familiar with that).

Boyd is at least a LH starter.  Trevor Bauer just threw 4 scoreless innings against a Yankee "A-Squad" in Mexico.  Someone will be desperate enough to sign him within a month.
