GCTF Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Wonder if Gladden has anything good to say about Lombo Jr. on the radio broadcast.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If you will indulge me for a moment. (Sliding over Soapbox and getting on it) Escobar should be on third. It's the major leagues... The Thomas ball is caught 999 times out of 1000... I don't care... Half Ass it to second... You can half ass your approach at the plate and pretty soon the team has left 1,000 base runners stranded in 3 games. The Twins are playing half assed baseball and Escobar standing on 2nd with two out is an just another example. Escobar should be on third. His ass, it should be fined.* *had to rework the phrasing after yesterday's RB post
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Wonder if Gladden has anything good to say about Lombo Jr. on the radio broadcast.I was wondering the same. Guess I could turn on the radio broadcast but too lazy
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 For me... Dozier starts the 2nd game of the double header just because of that fake.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I was wondering the same. Guess I could turn on the radio broadcast but too lazy Agree, plus it would also require one to listen to Gladden.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Agree, plus it would also require one to listen to Gladden. Meh. I can deal with that. I live in Chicago and anyone is better than hawk. Speaking of hawk, go Hawks! What a finish to that game last night

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I'm gonna be nice to Clete for awhile... He just made a play on a team that doesn't look like it cares to make plays.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Great Play by Florimon... Bad play by Morneau... Step off the flipping base and field it.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Great Play by Florimon... Bad play by Morneau... Step off the flipping base and field it. Bad throw as well though. Probably can share the blame on that one.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Florimon had no chance but he was trying with everything he's got. He had zero time to make an impossible play. Morneau had time to assess the situation. Morneau had time to realize that the runner was already across 1st base... Morneau had time to move his feet and knock it down.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Is today Father's Day??? Or is that next week?

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Is today Father's Day??? Or is that next week? Next week but I've declared it Fathers Month in our house.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 If he had zero chance then he shouldn't have thrown and saved a run from scoring Yes I agree but when you are in the middle of that... You don't have time to assess. It's Dive... Catch... Get Up... And throw... He wouldn't even know where the base runner is. He was giving the team something extra trying to stop a run... If he makes a bad throw... His teammate at first has to pick him up. Kudos to Florimon... Boos for Morneau.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I guess we'll agree to disagree. I have a hard time blaming Morneau for Florimon's bad throw. See? Chief agrees with me. Two against one. You lose, RB.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I guess we'll agree to disagree. I have a hard time blaming Morneau for Florimon's bad throw. Than Disagreement it is. And I will Hurl this Insult: Chief took an IQ test and the results came back negative.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Oou that was great. Wonder how much that was luck getting that so quick off the wall
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Than Disagreement it is. And I will Hurl this Insult: Chief took an IQ test and the results came back negative. I picture you saying that in a Henny Youngman voice. With a Henny Youngman face.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 See? Chief agrees with me. Two against one. You lose, RB. OK.. I've lost... Except.... Ummm... If Florimon errored... It was an effort Error... If Morneau didn't error. It was because he was pylon esque. I'll take the effort guy Everytime.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I blame Morneausie for that. Although upon review, might have been Doumit's pitch framing.
