Question for Crikket...now that you're nearing the halfway point of the maiden season for the affiliate change, how's that franchise-switch working out for you and the citizens of Cedar Rapids?

I think it's a win-win for everyone, jokin. The Twins players and coaches seem genuinely happy with the level of community support and last I checked, attendance was running about 40% ahead of last year's pace. Just looking at the amount of Twins caps/shirts/jackets etc at Kernels games, it's clear the local Twins fanbase is turning out. Need to do something about this weather, though. Looking more and more like a possible washout again tonight. EDIT: CR game officially called due to lightning in the area. Doubleheader Thursday starting at 4 pm.

Here's a question for the would-be scouts (or any real ones ). What do you look for in someone being used as a reliever, that suggests he'll have the stamina and durability to start? I'm not talking about having a starter's mix of pitches and stuff, but just the ability to go 6 or 7 or more when his stuff is working.

Thats a good question. I think you could ask it to 10 scouts and the only thing in common would be stuff lol. Smooth deliveries are a big part of it. Too much effort in a delivery fatigues an arm quickly, thus effectiveness drops off. Other than that, just effectiveness. Many relievers are simply failed starters. There are obviously examples to the contrary, but you don't know until you try.
