I think it was the right call to keep Pablo in. Maybe Rocco wanted to look López in the eyes and see if he was done.

Not sure I agree with the Pablo love entirely. He has an 8-0 lead and can’t go more than six?  Quit nibbling and throw it over.

The strikeouts are still there, but the at-bats have been better.

The key to this game was 2nd, when Lopez walked 2 to load the bases for the leadoff hitter.  The past month or so there have been hits resulting in a 3 inning, tonight Lopez dug deep and got the last out.

That's been particularly true of López since his hot start in April. The numbers predict him to be much better (there's a whole thread on that), Getting a guy out with the bases loaded and two outs kind of kept the good things going.

If I was going to guess. It would be Country Road for WV and Rocky Mountain High for Colorado

Other way around — he is named for the Colorado city! His given name is “Duetschendorf,” but someone pointed out that wouldn’t fit well on a marquee. He spent a lot of time in the state as an Air Force kid, so went with that.
