According to Twins' GM Rob Antony, Rich Harden's rehab has been "slow" and "not very well to be honest".

 

Harden felt soreness in his surgically-repaired shoulder while throwing a few weeks ago, and hasn't progressed much since suffering that setback. It's starting to look like a longshot that the oft-injured right-hander will ever make an impact for the Twins.

Definitely don't have problem with facial hair, but it just doesn't look right on him. You might be right on the color. He needs to do something different.

Darin Mastroianni will undergo surgery on Wednesday to repair a bone chip on his left ankle, and will be sidelined for at least six weeks.

 

It was a very discouraging sign when Mastroianni, who was already progressing slowly in his recovery, was uncomfortable testing his ankle during light sprints on Wednesday. He shouldn't be expected to return to the Twins until after the All-Star break and can safely be dropped in deeper mixed formats.
