Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Come on, the first 20 Hicks ABs were epic in that category. Hicks doesn't have an AB that bad yet this year.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Come on, the first 20 Hicks ABs were epic in that category. No, that would win the Worst Grouping of AB of the Year.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Chief... I gotta side with Ultima here. Hicks wins for worst AB's of the Year with Two Strikes. He's pretty much "stick a fork in him" at that point.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Alright... Doumit, Arcia, Plouffe, Hicks, Florimon, Dozier or a pinch hitter... Whose the hero... This game ain't going to extras.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Jeremy Hellickson pitched poorly on Friday, but still earned a victory over the Orioles after allowing eight runs on 10 hits over his 7 2/3 innings. Hellickson struck out four and walked one in the game. After allowing three early runs, Hellickson was on cruise control after the Rays offense bombarded the Orioles with 12 runs through the first six innings. He ran into trouble in the eighth though, where the O’s tagged him for four more runs before chasing him from the game. He’s been extremely inconsistent on the season and will carry an awful 5.82 ERA into his next start where he’ll take on the Blue Jays in Toronto on Wednesday.

B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Shucks, Trevor. In other news... Sano goes yard again. Also, Meyer/May have been slightly underwhelming as of late
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Well, I predict the extra frame with be nasty, brutal and short. Im changing my prediction... This game ain't going 33 innings.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Tony Cingrani yielded three runs in five innings Friday in a no-decision against the Phillies. Following his recent bout of shoulder soreness, Cingrani needed 100 pitches to complete the five frames. After posting a 1.50 ERA over his first three starts in the majors, the southpaw has allowed nine runs in 15 innings over his last three starts and has served up five homers in the process. We still like Cingrani for the long-term, but he could be headed back to the minors next week when Johnny Cueto (lat) returns from the disabled list.

Thank You... But I gotta say... You have the potential to be a game thread superstar if you become the one sentence guy. As the Game goes along. You throw little comments like you do. Stuff Like..."turn out the lights on the Twins Tonight". "Field mice can pitch better than Worley". "The owners paid for this team". "Boston is only good for baked beans".
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Arcia get out of his way unless you have a stronger arm.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 This half-inning has been absolutely painful to watch
snepp Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'll sleep easy now. I don't know what I would have done tonight without a Tony Cingrani update.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Hicky, Flory, Dozy.... sounds like runs!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'll sleep easy now. I don't know what I would have done tonight without a Tony Cingrani update. Sleep a little less easy?
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Let's just hope Uehara had some bad sushi or something earlier...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 WTF Arcia? He doesn't understand English... Hicks was yelling ball ball ball. Arcia thought he was saying Bajar.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'll sleep easy now. I don't know what I would have done tonight without a Tony Cingrani update. Gun... Was helping me out... Hellickson and Cingrani are on my fantasy team. I appreciated it.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I just hope we see .500 again this year
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Chalk this up to Dozier's 1st inning error, Willinghammer not being able to drive in a runner from third with one out, and a bad top of the 10th.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Predictably horrid end. Nasty, brutal and short.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 How can you let this happen? Perfect!!!
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Predictably horrid end. Nasty, brutal and short. That's a Hobbesian ending if I ever heard of one

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 That's a Hobbesian ending if I ever heard of one Im not sure what it means but it sounds interesting. Is it anything like Frodesian?
