USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 No Buxton, no Correa. Archer on the mound, likely 4 IP max. Bullpen scorched earth. Nick Gordon in the 5 hole. Got 'em right where we want 'em.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I wonder how often draftkings offers a home team division leader at +160.
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Scoreboard watching, Astros need to get going! Down 1 to 0 in the 7th. Twins have their work cut out for them today, would like to see the Guardian's lose!

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Yay, Polanco! Keep doing it and it will open up the field!
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 To bad we can't get someone pitching like Triston Mckenzie today, He just finished the 8th inning shut out ball, 91 pitches!

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Has any ball NOT been hit hard ??

CRF Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 They're hitting rockets off Archer so far. Not looking real promising.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Lucky to get two innings out of him today.

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 How much longer can the Team afford to keep Archer as a Starter???, Could he have some deal where he starts only?? always thought he could maybe help the Bullpen, as a piggy back starter with Bundy or ?, This as is is INSANITY!!
cHawk Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I really think Archer would be better in the pen than in the rotation.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Well, will you look at that, soft contact (74 MPH) resulting in a lazy fly ball!!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 And who starts if Archer doesn't at this point? I'd rather he wasn't a starter too, but they just don't have options. Also, great job getting out of that with only one run given up. Clearly Toronto doesn't deserve to win now.....
RickOShea Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Is Archer better suited as a set-up man. a situation where he can let it all out for 2 or less innings? Just spitballing.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Archer averages 71.5 pitches per start and he's at 45 through 2 innings. BP will be called on in the 4th, unless Baldelli is decides to go against his own analytics and push him higher due to the extra days off over the next 10 days.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Remember when we complained when Gardy would take the starter out when he hit 100 pitches?
cmoss84 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Tor can hit. Usually Archer's high pitch counts are due to walks...but they are just fouling off a ton of pitches. Can't blame him for that. Now he needs a 10 pitch inn.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Watching Archer fall over after every pitch would be worth it if he was able to get outs.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I guess a split in this series is good, but since they’ve already guaranteed at least a split, it would be nice to see them get the win and finish the season series against the Jays 5-2
