Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Oh well. It was going to be a tall task to beat any team 6-0 throughout the season, even Oakland. And a game without Correa or Buxton, plus Bundy/Winder as the pitchers is probably one that is "okay" to lose. Still feels like the Twins didn't put all of their available chips into this one, whether right or wrong. Tomorrow is a great chance to win the series with Gray on the bump, and hopefully Correa, Buxton, and Lewis all in the lineup together. Until tomorrow, Go Twins

Yeah, I have nothing against Nick or the article. I don't think Rocco has done a bad job, nor do I think he has done an amazing job. They have beat teams they are better than, won some games off of some putrid defense by opponents, and lost to teams that are better than them. A baseball manager matters far less than a football or basketball coach. Rocco is a fine manager, but he isn't overly aggressive on the base paths (for right or wrong), and seems to make some weird bullpen decisions at times (like every manager). I don't think he's a terrible manager, and I don't think he's the best manager. That's completely fine. Tonight was on him though.
