I mean what have you got to lose. Trying Miranda in LF isn't like moving Sano to RF.............. is it? I think it makes more sense to have Kirilloff in LF and Miranda at 1B, because Miranda would stay on the infield (and play an easier position).

Heiny Verified Member Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 The ideal situation in my mind would be to package Donaldson and Arraez for SP, sign Rodon and Pineda. Sign Story and play Miranda at third. We have Gordon for utility and I still believe in Larnach for left field. We also have Martin waiting in the wings for LF. Lewis? I think 2022 may be the best time to see what our youngsters can do, but I also think this scenario allows us to compete this year.
Unwinder Verified Member Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 A lot of people seem apprehensive about Miranda because he's had just the one breakout year. This wasn't just a good year, though, this was a phenomenal year. Just look at the stats above! He could regress a lot and still be very good! Plus, if you want a good idea of how he might adjust to a higher level of competition, take a look at his jump from Wichita to St Paul. Yes, it's just one good year, but it's hard to imagine one better year. I have a lot more faith in this guy than I do in Martin or Lewis.
