• I was going to go with Chip Hale, but it turns out he's not the guy I'm thinking of. Who was the guy who in the late 90s, tore up his knee to a ball in right field, but got up, limped over and thre the ball back in? Does anyone else remember that? I think it was the last thing he did in his career. Most competetive thing I ever saw.
  

 

But since that wasn't Hale, I'll go with noodle-arm Harper. Plus...the 'stache.

Can't say I ever saw him play but the fact that Bernie Allen was also a Big Ten quarterback is pretty cool. After Purdue beat Ohio State one year he went after Woody Hayes to see if he still thought Allen too small to play in the Big Ten. No punches thrown though.
