The Twins' history with picking pitchers in the first round has been pretty iffy. They probably should just use that high pick on position players from now on.

Agree 100% on Yamamoto. He still has 1 option remaining so he can be claimed to compete for the 5th starter spot and stashed at AAA for the year if he doesn't win it. I would guess other teams ahead of the Twins on waiver priority likely have the same idea though.

It will be interesting to see what Avila does as he joins another former Twins catcher to go to the Nats. The other (Suzuki) had very good success. We'll see. I hope Jeffers can do the job.
