Maeda a finalist for the Cy Young

Bieber will win, but it is nice to see Kenta get some props.

 

Also very interesting the that the Dodgers lost both Maeda and Ryu from the pitching staff and STILL won the World Series!

 

Nelson Cruz was NOT one of the MVP finalists.

I saw nothing from Maeda in this short, weird season to indicate he can't maintain as a top of the rotation starter. One thing that I'm not sure everyone considers is, while he didn't face the East or West, he also faced the same teams multiple times. So to me, again, there is no reason to expect some sort of regression in 2021. He is QUALITY, all the more so after making adjustments. My only concern would be a full 162G season after the Dogers placed him in the pen to help there to finish each year. He may have to be "protected" a bit.

 

IMO, the only thing that stops him from being the Twins #1 in 2021 is Berrios taking that next step.

 

Maeda deserves his consideration, though he obviously won't win. What a great trade!

I liked Maeda and think he will be a solid starter for us. SSS really makes this year strange. Over 30 starts, I imagine Berrios will usually be better.
