Heyman: Hefner to be named Mets pitching coach

From his twitter feed, Jon Heyman announced that Jeremy Hefner is the new Mets pitching coach. 

 

He was the Twins assistant pitching coach in 2019 and worked in the bullpen during games.

The Pirating of our coaching system continues. Hopefully it will turn out to be more about our analytics and system than it is about the specific people hired to implement that system. Good luck to Hefner in the NYM system. At least its the NL stealing this talent from us...

I think it speaks volumes about the current organization. You know you are on the right path when others start following your path. 

 

I wasn't doing a head count but we did not have this type of coaching poaching during the previous administration.
