Game Thread: Twins @ Miami, 11:10 CDT August 1st 2019

Disturbing trend: too many games like this in the past 6-7 weeks. The team has pulled itself out a few jams to win ... but these losses gotta sting. I think about the effect these games have on team psyche, more-so than bullpen usage, offensive lapses, defensive miscues and misfit management. So not a great way to start August but there is still a third of a season yet to play. Game on!

I'm all for close games.

 

That way we know what we're doin' when we get into them against the best.

 

And here, i was hopin' to make a claim about writin' this here thread intro back

in April, seein' it run it's course, and figurin' i could stop payin' attention again until October...

 

Guess i can't do that. Wouldn't be prudent.
