Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 ANND Welcome back. Today is my brother's bachelor party so I don't have time to type much. For those here, this isn't your first game thread experience. I have faith you can take it from here. Get another win Twins!
Blake Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hi all. I still live, sort of. Working 10 to 12 hours a day sort of limits one's online activities. Go Twins!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 It will be interesting to see how Stewart does, especially since the Tigers will be seeing him again, just a few days after his first start. Pitching against the same team ...... I really wish he was pitching against a different team, instead.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Is it raining in Minneapolis? Why hasn’t the game started?
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Is it raining in Minneapolis? Why hasn’t the game started?Jack Morris abbreviated ramblings from all his other celebrations combined with an inability to pronounce some words/names
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hurrah for our man Jack Morris.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Stewart with a literal swinging strikeout. By literal, all three strikes on Castellanos were of the swinging variety. Not just the last. Point is, he did it.
tvagle Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Garve-sauce should quit moving around and just sit down the middle and let the ball move left or right...kinda like when Gibby was a youngster
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Was that a semi-intentional walk of Goodrum? To get to Victor Martinez?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I figure Detroit is going to make Stewart prove he can get guys out with his off-speed stuff. Otherwise, they'll be looking dead red all day. It's the age-old story: Throw strikes, but stay away from the middle.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Is that Joe’s first career leadoff HR?
twins_89 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 It's surprising how well Stewart does with basically only fastballs. Its somewhat impressive that even when the hitters can sit on the fastball, he can still hold his own. If he ever develops even decent control of one or two off-speed pitches he could be pretty solid.
HrbekRules Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I think Joe needs to take a drug test, two days in a row!
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 So, whaddaya think...is Joe just joltin', or is Joe juicin'?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I think Joe needs to take a drug test, two days in a row!Two at-bats in a row, I believe.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Methinks Mr. Carpenter may not last very long. The Twins are barreling him easily.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Well, I'm glad to see Joe read my post yesterday. Thanks for having more than one HR per month!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 He may not get out of the first.
HrbekRules Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Methinks Mr. Carpenter may not last very long. The Twins are barreling him easily. Sure looks like they have his number early.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Ump is calling inside edge, but not outside.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 No hit. But yet another rocket.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Some real hard hit balls which should bode well going forward
