I missed the play but just saw the replay. Did Molitor do anything at all to stick up for his player there?

Yes, Molitor came out for an explanation.

I'm sure the explanation was to his satisfaction. "Well it may have been foul but if it was fair he would have been out and its been a long day. These old fashioned double headers are a real pain and we're all hungry". "OK thanks".
