Lee-The-Twins-Fan Provisional Member Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I expect Gonsalves, Romero and Littell to pitch for the Twins at some point this year, if there are injuries.

goulik Verified Member Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Eades is probably the worst of these but first in line...Romero is probably the best of those 4 but he will probably be the last one called up...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Eades is probably the worst of these but first in line...Romero is probably the best of those 4 but he will probably be the last one called up...Eades isn’t on the 40-man, though ... My guess is that he won’t be up at all unless/until that changes.

bluechipper Provisional Member Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 Gonsalves is doing Gonsalves things in AA. 3-0 with a 1.77 ERA, 11.1 K/9 and just 4.9 H/9 The negatives are the walks and the pitches per inning being too high so far.
goulik Verified Member Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Gonsalves promoted to AAA, will start tonight for Rochester. https://puckettspond.com/2018/04/28/minnesota-twins-stephen-gonsalves-promoted/ https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-sports/highly-touted-twins-pitching-prospect-stephen-gonsalves-promoted-to-aaa
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2018 Author Posted May 26, 2018 In 5 starts for Rochester, Gonsalves has been very good. In AAA, he's 4-1 with a 2.39 ERA, 5.5 H/9, 0.7 HR/9, 4.4 BB/9, 10.9 K/9 He just does not give up hits.
goulik Verified Member Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I have been most impressed with his K rate this year. I really did not envision Gonsalves striking out so many at AAA. Maybe I have not been high enough out Gonsalves in the past as I saw him as a 3-4 rotation piece. Is he a 2? Exciting stuff fo sho!
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 Stephen Gonsalves is being called up and will start Monday for the Twins Between AA and AAA, his numbers are: 12-3, 2.76 ERA in 120.2 innings, 5.7 H/9, 0.6 HR/9, 4.8 BB/9, and 9.0 K/9. It will be interesting to see how his pitching style translates. Hopefully he doesn't nibble around the edge of the zone and rely on guys to chase.
