? I haven't seen any spam in the forums ... could you flag/report them when you see it?

 

Or are you referring to ads? Which is a different problem.

Well ... yeah ... if there are issues with spam or ads ... it's really best to post in MinnCentric questions forum ... but if there is an issue with spam, I'd like to remove the spammers ... but I'm not seeing any.

True. I just got the sense that it was a lot of bad or dumb threads as opposed to the alternative.

I am getting pop up ads using iOS. The ones without any "x" in the top corner to close them. The "you won a $1000 amazon gift card" type. Just have to close the window and come back.

 

I basically can't read the forum because of this. I assumed I wasn't the only one. I kept my original post short because the ads kept popping up

 

I had to type this in notepad and copy/paste it in here, otherwise I would lose it.

I get that too, on Android, but for me it's a redirect, not a pop up.

 

It doesn't happen often, but when it does, yeah, I can't even post because it constantly redirects me to scam "congratulations, you've won!" page.

I actually see those on a lot of sites. I just close the browser and go back to where I was, and 99.x% of the time it doesn't happen again.

If you can, try and get a screen shot of it and post it here or send it to Brock. I've found that if I change browsers, that helps, too. I get far less in Safari than Firefox, or at least lately. Even Chrome was getting annoying, so for now Safari seems to work the best. And I don't know what IE is anymore, so I wouldn't even attempt it.

 

These things seem to cycle to different people at different times ... but ... screen shots always help Brock identify what/where kind of things.

You can't get in at all? Or can't send anything? Make sure you aren't at capacity. But if it's anything else, yeah, Brock issue.
