twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 For God's sake just bring up Hendriks and get Duensing back to the pen, he's not a starter, for crying out loud! Try convincing the braintrust here of that. Dunce's SP ERA is in Blackie territory. What a horrible decision to put him in the rotation. This is embarassing, OK, not Nishi-embarassing, just Blackie-level ineptitude embarassing. Did anyone read Gardy's lips there after Jackson's AB? Not fit for family viewing. I didn't need to read his lips, I was saying the same words. I agree, trotting Blackie and Duensing out there expecting different results is pure embarrassment.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 C'mon downpour, wash this baby out
Twins GFP Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I'll be positive and say 6IP / 3R. Go quality start! Ah well, I tried...
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Ha...Revere bleeds one through the left side and the LFer is playing so shallow Carroll can't even score.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Why pitch rp when you go SP waiting in the wings?
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Can't touch this! Well the fan that caught it can but that's it.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Mauer and Willingham with a little demo for those who insist RBI are meaningless.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 C'mon downpour, wash this baby out Ok, maybe not.....atta way Hammer! Duensing better pick this one up after Willingham saved his sorry ass.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Mauer and Willingham with a little demo for those who insist RBI are meaningless. RBI'S aren't meaningless but if other's don't get on base first they are, which came first, the chicken or the egg?

twinzgrl Provisional Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 THANK YOU, Terry Ryan, for signing the Hammer for three years!! Great move.

Yes, perhaps I gave Willingham more credit than due. Duensing better pick it up after the Tigers handed him his ass back.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 This infield for the Tigers looks familiar.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Infante doing his best Nishi impersonation tonight
fatbeer Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 THANK YOU, Terry Ryan, for signing the Hammer for three years!! Great move. Considering they didn't trade him because of the 3 year deal I wish it was a 1 year deal. I'm sure he'll be alright next year, but he's one injury away from batting .230 with 5 HR's the rest of his career. Been fun to watch but winning games this year doesn't matter.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Infante doing his best Nishi impersonation tonight And here I thought Ramon Santiago was bad. It's amazing how well Detroit does at finding good-hit/no-field position players (Jackson excluded).
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Delmon looking a lot like Lamont Sanford with that stache.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Mauer and Willingham with a little demo for those who insist RBI are meaningless. The RBI statistic is still useless, it's what leads to them that possesses meaning. That hasn't changed.

The RBI statistic is still useless, it's what leads to them that possesses meaning. That hasn't changed. Theyre both important. When they start adding up how many reached first base at the end of the game rather than how many crossed home plate, I'll change my opinion.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Laird double clutches almost every throw back to the pitcher. Drives me crazy.

The do add up how often guys reach base and if it wasn't for those guys RBI's would be meaningless.

They reside in Fantasyland/leagues...Rotoworld.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Without Infante on 3rd that hit by Cabrera is a lazy single but he's gets ordained as an RBI machine and Infante is just the guy who happened upon the plate.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Was that an assist for Mastro or Young?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Was that an assist for Mastro or Young? Gene Lamont

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Jamey making several errors on routine plays lately. With the Plouffe error before, it's easy to see how making errors is demoralizing and deflating to a team. Carroll will hopefully the utility guy next season.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Nishi was contagious it appears.
