Looks like stat has traded in his love of tweeting at porn stars to retweeting bible verses...I mean, good for him, bummer for us.

 

Still no Dankind updates, I dated his distant cousin for a hot minute in college, she mentioned that he was the blackest of black sheep a family could have. Apparently not everyone appreciates the 3 M's in life: Mullets, Mauer Hot Takes and Metallica t shirts.

 

That about does it for this BYTO where are they now update!

There is a good chance I still have my BYTO shirt in a box at home.

 

I wasn't real happy with the complete closure of BYTO but we were a shrinking forum that was becoming less inviting to any potential new posters that wandered by. Congrats to Nick and Brock that ignored all of the criticism and to all of the others they partnered with like Seth and John and countless others.

Just stumbled on to this thread and what a blast from the past it was. Word filters are probably the thing I miss most from BYTO. Also shout out to Brock for getting me into the second game ever at Target Field, was a good time.

Personal highlight was that I believe I brought the site the first player interview when I contacted Pat Neshek and he agreed.

I'll forever be grateful to a Braves fan who lived in the dorm across the hall who introduced me to the ESPN boards where I slowly, over time figured out the "regular" crowd. Think I joined in '02.

I did not realize I had missed essentially this entire thread. I, too, miss BYTO, though interestingly, I did put up some original stuff there that was part of how I first got a writing gig. Generally, I left the Twins talk alone and stayed in the rest of the forum, but I have been talking with many on this forum now since those Elysian Fields days...and really only one Twins fan ever got the ban hammer when I was in charge of the ESPN Braves site, but when they chose to let moderation go to an outsourced company, the forums turned into a comments section.
