Sano not a third baseman anymore?

I was looking at the Twins 25 and 40 man roster on the team website and I find it curious that Sano is not listed as a third baseman anymore but instead as a DH. I know defense is not his strong point.

Do the new front office dudes not plan to play him in the field anymore but just as a DH? Are they planning to keep Plouffe around another year?

Like I said, he just hasn't been moved over. If the season were to start today, Plouffe would probably start at third and Sano at DH. This is much ado about nothing.

Sano was listed as a DH most of last season, too, IIRC.

No need to read anything into it.  That is from before the new FO, and the website is hopefully a pretty low priority now...

Just give him a bat, I do not care about anything else.  I am fine with him at DH.  What we do with Park, Vargas, Walker...that's more of a mystery.

The online depth chart doesn't mean anything but where they plan on playing Sano next season is the single most important question that needs to be addressed before an offseason plan can be done. I (and almost everyone else) will make plans assuming Sano is at 3B but I have a feeling that isn't as set in stone as we want.
