Twinfan & Dad Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 What a perfect match for Terry Ryan's list of middle tier starters he's accumulated to such great success both past and present. Lets see we have Correia,Pelfrey,Nolasco,Hughes,Santana. Just give him time to add Linnecum and block the path of other young starters.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Layne Somsen is likely readily available at the Hands of The Reds, AAA Louisville Bats. Lincecum 2.0 .... Offer JR Graham straight up for Somsen? or add a bit of someone else. maybe Meyer 1v1 for Somsen?
Twinfan & Dad Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 I think Cliff Lee and Jared Weaver are free agents after this season. These two would qualify for the value TR seems to like for pitchers past their prime.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 https://twitter.com/RhettBollinger/status/727646660076048384 Ryan already heavily implied Lincecum isn't a fit, saying he wasn't sure if he'd even send a scout to watch him since Tim wants to start. Of course that is basically as good as acknowledgement that Lincecum would not start for the Twins: Let's go ahead and keep criticism contained to actions they have taken, not hypothetical and/or implausible actions that best fit a personal agenda.
