Am I the only one who thinks that the Twins are better with Perkins on the DL and not "closing" games for them?

 Nope. It was/is painfully obvious to me that Perkins would be pretty worthless as a closer this year. I join you. I hope he just can be an innings eater.

Who sees more time, Tonkin, or Rogers? 

After watching Tonkin today, I'd go with Rogers as much as possible.

I read an article via reddit a couple days ago about Bartolo Colon's magical resurgence after having stem cell therapy in 2010. Apparently Colon's shoulder was as bad as mine - impingement, arthritis, rotator cuff damage, etc. He could throw a ball no more than 75mph. So a doctor sucked blood from his bone marrow, isolated stem cells, mixed it with belly fat, then injected it into Colon's shoulder. Within months, the tissues regenerated. Since that procedure Colon has won 57 games and is still pitching in the MLB.

 

Maybe Perkins is in line for a stem cell resurgence. Maybe I am, too! Can I get some for my feet?

What bugs me most is how the Twins brain trust still decided to count on him heavily in their offseason planning -- how many times have we heard "a bullpen led by Perkins, Jepsen, and May is pretty good"?  Perkins was and remains a pretty big question mark (and Jepsen and May aren't without their question marks either).

 

Probably, though Pressly also worked multiple innings as well. There seems to be an air of changing of the guard in this thread no matter how folks feel about how this has transpired. I hope Molitor feels that air too and gives the job to May.

 

May is kinda the lynch pin, they lose the key pen piece if he is closer.
